The design process of the bamboo toilet paper poster involved a seamless integration of course theory into practical application. Drawing from principles learned in CRI300, key design elements were carefully considered to create a visually impactful and engaging poster. One of the fundamental aspects influenced by course theory was the strategic use of negative space. Understanding the significance of well-balanced layouts, white space was deliberately incorporated to highlight the central image – the bamboo toilet paper roll. This decision aligned with the course’s emphasis on visual hierarchy and readability, ensuring that the main focal point remained prominent and easily comprehensible. The choice of a brown-cream colour scheme not only reflected lessons in colour psychology but also reinforced the environmentally conscious theme of bamboo toilet paper. By leveraging colour theory, the poster effectively communicated sustainability and environmental consciousness while appealing to the intended audience.

The execution of the design involved sourcing a high-quality image of a hand on Creative Commons, which was then traced to create a visual of a hand holding the bamboo toilet paper. The consistent application of the brownish cream color theme, particularly using a light skin tone for the hand, maintained a cohesive visual language throughout the poster. In terms of typography, the use of “Helvetica Neue Bold” as the typeface was a strategic choice to support readability and audience familiarity. This sans serif font complemented the concepts covered in the course, ensuring that the text was easily legible and engaging. Finally, the integration of the call to action “Find out more at BTP4LIFE.com” was seamlessly incorporated, following the course guidelines on user engagement and compelling calls to action. This addition aimed to drive traffic to the designated website while reinforcing the poster’s message effectively.

By blending theoretical knowledge with practical design techniques, the bamboo toilet paper poster exemplifies a harmonious fusion of creativity and course theory, resulting in a visually striking and purposeful final product
